Glasby Square is one of those 'blink and you'll miss it' areas of Retford.... and that's probably part of the appeal as it provides is the ideal place to enjoy a quiet and relaxing drink or bite to eat at the gorgeous Kiwi cafe. You are made to feel welcome as soon as you walk in, the food is delicious and the prices are good - If I had one request it would be bring back the beautiful white hot chocolate they used to serve but this is certainly not a criticism as there are plenty of other delicious drinks on the menu. Whether you stop by for 'elevenses' or a more substantial lunch customers will not disappointed - the perfect pick-me-up or relaxing time-out before you tackle the town's busier quarters.

ReportThe Kiwi cafe is based in the centre of Retford and has seating both up and downstairs and on a sunny day there is a cobbled courtyard for the perfect AL fresco dining. The menu has a wonderful range of hot and cold meals including soup, jacket potatoes, paninis and home made cakes. The service is fast and friendly and the prices are all very reasonable. It is the ideal place to visit in the middle of shopping and to have a break from the hustle and bustle of town.
