It's time to distance ourselves from Worksop. I am tired of Retford being tarred with the same brush. Our lovely little town is NOTHING like Beirut up the road, but people assume it is. Worksop is full of thugs and criminals, Retford, nice townsfolk. I think it's time we abandoned our links with the place so we can thrive. Cut off the rail links for one. I don't want to go there and I don't want their people here. Also it would be good to have the boundaries moved so they can be part of Yorkshire. At least I can tell people they are in a different county. I never liked the fact they were always appearing in our courthouse either. Shove them to Donny where they belong!

One should remove ones head from their ****. Retford's not that much better than worksop. All the time you hear of violence and knife crime in retford. Recently I heard of someone getting attacked with an axe! I can only assume you don't get out much and see the realities of our town. Worksop is about 8 miles down the road, always has been, always will. Not a lot anyone can do about that, and cut off rail links? Good one. If you hate it that much then you know what you've got to my old bean.

I don't mind Retford or Worksop, and don't see why it has to be about competition!
Let's enjoy, improve and promote BOTH towns and the whole of Bassetlaw. :)!
