What?? MaryJ try telling that to the very passionate teachers and pupils in Africa giving lessons in tiny huts with just a few books and sheets of paper between them...passion is about working with what you've got..........
Why does everything in this country always have to be bigger, better, smarter....its just greedy.
I totally get what you're saying - passion is often greatest when resources are limited - but there is something to be said for feeling proud of what you've got and your environment especially when comparing to what is available elsewhere in the country. This day and age I just think if the money is available what better way to invest it than in education to give youngsters the best start. But yes, generally I would say some people always want something they don't have, always want the next best thing I'm just not sure that argument can be applied to schools.
Everyone - we seem to have a few site issues at the moment where comments are loading up twice/the order of posts is getting messed up a little please bear with us while we fix...
Thanks as always for all your comments - good stuff! :)
