Morning, i have been biting my lip about this for some time now, i moved to Retford 2 years ago, and have to say i have really enjoyed being here, the biggest pet hate i have is "dog muck" left on the streets, i myself am a dog owner, having two, and make the effort everytime my dog has to go to the loo, and pick the mess up. Now i am not directly blaming dog owners, as i think the Council has a impact on peoples views on this. from where i live i can walk a mile down the road, there are many signs telling me how much you are going to fine me for NOT picking the mess up, but lets think howm many bins are availiable to put the bag in, 2, now im not being funny, they arent even the Red tpye, animal waste, only bins, people are not prepared to carry dog muck round for a mile until they get to the bin, it ties a hand up, if it is a elderly person with a stick or mother/father with children this as you can apriciate will become awkward, why arent more bins readily availiable as the signs are telling us how much you are going to charge us????? And heres another one, litter on the pathways? I have walked past 4 bus stops this morning, none of which have a bin at them?? do we think actually putting our council tax to some sort of use for a change will propmt people to use the facilities rather than have no facilities to use??? I genually feel that having more bins posted round the area will help the situation and would be nice to see a little back to the community!!! Many Thanks MFulch
