A WOMAN had to be led to safety after a fire spread to her home on Christmas Eve.
The fire started in a wheelie bin but spread to a house on Richard Street in Retford, and involved the electricity box.
The incident happened at about 2.45am on Saturday, December 24.
Two fire crews from Retford attended the scene and used one hose reel and one dry powder extinguisher to deal with the blaze.
A spokesman for Retford Fire Brigade warned readers to keep their wheelie bins as far away from their properties as possible.
