WITH temperatures soaring into the high twenties, Notts County Council is urging residents to be vigilant in the hot, summer sun.
With a greater heatwave expected in the coming week, tips to stay protected are; apply sun cream before leaving the house; stay hydrated with water; wear wide- brimmed hats to avoid heatstroke and watch out for the very young and the very old, who are more vulnerable in heat.
For information on summer activities for kids, the Nottinghamshire County Council Summer Guide can be found in libraries and at www. nottscc.gov.uk/whatson
