POST-16 students from Tuxford School have been raising awareness of maternal health in developing countries and raising funds.
Twelve pupils have been spreading the message after attending a Global Student Forum conference last summer.
At the conference, Tuxford's Global Student Forum members set themselves goals to raise awareness, inspire change, and raise funds in aid of maternal health.
A charity jar in the sixth form canteen has raised £70 for women and newborn healthcare charity The White Ribbon Alliance.
But Naomi Macphail, 17 said the jar was just the start of larger fundraising efforts.
"We wanted to begin raising money straight away and we thought that a charity jar, just for coppers and small change, was a good idea to get us started," she said.
"At this year's charity fair, the students ran their own stall selling sweets and chocolates, which raised a further £100."
