The restaurant opened two weeks ago and is well worth a visit. At present it provides a service at lunch time – with a menu of quality food, in an ambient atmosphere. There is also a large area of al fresco dining for all to enjoy who appreciate good food and fine service. The menu offers a mouth watering choice of dishes including Salmon with freshly picked salad and Supreme of chicken with lemon and thyme jus, to name just a few. For those who prefer afternoon tea there are a wide selection of cakes and treats to enjoy with coffee after a walk around the lake.

The herbs are freshly picked from the walled garden and add an extra freshness and delight to the taste buds. Heritage and tradition is at the heart of the building with a contemporary design to add an elegant and classical feel to the experience. A local resident of Retford, Mr Jones described his visit, "It was like going back to days of old. The restaurant is beautifully designed and the food was very tasty but not too fussy so extremely enjoyable. I would certainly recommend the place. It was very charming and different; the staff were very polite and attentive. It was indeed a special treat and a lovely place to go to just relax and absorb the atmosphere and the surrounding beauty of the park. It was a unique and enjoyable place to visit."
